Good evening dear readers,

Thank you for staying tune with "The Straight Times".
Let resume our dialogue in
"SINGAPORE CONVERSATION".

================================================

Reporter : Streetsmartfighter, you may continue with your next target and make sure you knock her down like you did with the first one, The Banker".

Streetsmartfighter : Excuse me, Ms Lim, Part-time actress. I have heard that you wanted old folks to learn computer and get online internet. Am I right?

Part-time actress : Yes..yes..yes! That is my wish. I am hoping dead that we can stay a breast with the youths and get ourselves updated with latest current affairs. Old folks, like me, do not want to be ignorance and treated as fool. I am here to help those poor old folks as well as for myself.

Streetsmartfighter : Before your wish is fulfilled, don't you think those old folks needed a desk-top computer first?

Part-time actress : I can suggest the old folks to buy desk-top on hire-purchase or they can seek subsidy from CDAC.

Streetsmartfighter : Hire-purchase! Where do you think those old folks get their income? They are being retrenched and live on "hand-out". How on earth can they afford to purchase computers?  How are they going to pay for computing course fee??
Also, do you know how much you have to pay for a laptop under CDAC's assistance grant?

Part-time actress : I do not know.

Streetsmartfighter : CDAC is charging them $ 700 + for a laptop. Do you think it is a subsidy?
Anyone can easily get a laptop by themselves at this price without CDAC's grant. Do you think CDAC is helping those poor folks? If CDAC can't help them, what make you think you can?

Part-time actress : I do not know lah. Why are you asking me so many questions?

Streetsmartfighter : Guess you are indeed ignorance about current affairs. I think you must be here talking for "shiok" only hor?? Don't worry, I am not going to ask you further question.
